Brooke spent the first years of her career on the other side of the table — five years defending insurance companies in private practice, then as the trial litigator for Allstate in metro Richmond. She learned exactly how insurers evaluate claims, what makes them nervous, and what it takes to make them pay what a case is actually worth. Then she decided she’d rather use that knowledge for the people the system was built to shortchange.
Nearly two decades in, she’s tried hundreds of personal injury matters across Virginia — car and tractor-trailer collisions, drunk driving crashes, premises liability, dog bites, and wrongful death cases — in Circuit Courts, General District Courts, the Workers’ Compensation Commission, and the Supreme Court of Virginia. She co-founded River Run Law because she believes the law should be a vehicle for good, and that clients deserve a lawyer who tells them the truth, returns their calls, and fights like it’s personal. Because to her, it is.
Brooke lives in Richmond with her husband and their 8-year-old son. When she’s not working, you’ll find her dining at a new restaurant, at a concert somewhere in the Commonwealth, or on the sidelines of whatever her son is into this season.
If she doesn’t answer the phone, it’s because she’s 1) grilling someone in a deposition, 2) getting schooled by an 8-year-old, or 3) somewhere near the stage and the music is too loud.
