The attorneys at River Run Law recently settled a 7 figure case that went up to the cusp of trial. The case was mediated and settled for $1,025,000 and involved a client who was a passerby at an apartment complex when a roofing shingle flew off of the roof. After a complex investigation it was discovered that the apartment complex was having the roof repaired and it was alleged that the roofer failed to properly secure the shingles as they worked. The client's injuries included head injury, shoulder injury and a neck injury, all requiring extensive treatment. The client also suffered over a year of wage loss.

Minor injured in auto accident where defendant ran a stop sign and struck the vehicle in which minor was a passenger in. Minor had an ER visit, pediatrician follow up and 4 orthopedic visits, including undergoing an orthopedic procedure. Settled for $350,000.

Rear end motor vehicle accident settled for $230,000. Plaintiff was a passenger. The Defendant was following Plaintiff's vehicle too closely and at a high rate of speed when he rear ended the Plaintiff.

The gun was provided by the minor’s parents and insurance coverage was able to be found and pursued as a result. Although criminal courts handle punishment of the defendant, this case illustrates that victims of crime can also pursue civil monetary compensation for their suffering.

Defendant ran plaintiff off the road at high speeds, settled for the total available coverage of $130,000. The defendant's reckless driving caused the vehicle in which Plaintiff was a passenger to run off the road and cause a vehicle fire. Plaintiff had one date of service at the Emergency Room.

Premises case against a car dealership where the garage door in the service center was faulty and fell on plaintiff's head, settled for $120,000.

Full policy limits of $100,000 recovered for the plaintiff who was t-Boned by the defendant while going straight through the intersection. The insurance carrier initially denied the claim by arguing there was a disagreement about the color of the traffic light, but after filing the lawsuit, the defendant and carrier quickly settled for the entire amount of available coverage.

This teenager was a passenger in a bad motor vehicle collision. She suffered from shoulder, neck and back pain with radiating symptoms. She had an emergency room visit, saw her pediatrician, and underwent a course of physical therapy. Her case settled for $92,500.

This client was involved in a t-bone collision at a lighted intersection where the other driver ran a red light. She suffered neck pain and was treated at the emergency room, by a primary care doctor, and underwent a course of physical therapy. Her case was settled before trial for $90,000.

Arm and leg bitten

This client was involved in a motor vehicle accident where the other driver was intoxicated and ran him off the road. Our client suffered whiplash injuries and was treated at the emergency room, by an orthopedic doctor, and had a course of physical therapy. His medical bills totaled about $13,000. We settled the case for the full amount of the policy limits of $60,000. There was no other available coverage.

Full insurance limits of $50,000 were recovered for a rear-end accident where a pickup truck driving at high rates of speed rear-ended the plaintiff. The plaintiff was treated at the emergency room and had follow-up care at a spine specialist.
